Project Description
The aim of the proposed project was the development of a new magnetometer with very high sensitivity for monitoring of magnetic field in unshielded environment. We apply a superconducting magnetometer principle, which provides a100-times improved dynamic range by utilizing a new digital feedback concept. This high-precision measurement of magnetic fields provides information about the nature and activity in the interior of the earth. This enables a mapping of resources and archaeological tracks, but also a transient monitoring of geological activities.
