First and foremost, the Concept “Innovation by Cooperation” takes into account the economic structure of the respective cooperation regions. This evaluation is based on the technology fields which are of importance to the Thuringian economy.
The figure gives a first overview over the region Länsi-Suomi as far as the technology fields are concerned. Scientific institutions are not considered.

Boxes marked with an “X” show which technology fields important for the Thuringian economy do also play a role in the cooperation regions. The different colors indicate the importance of the respective technology field to the cooperation region.
